@SeaGreenEyez my cats generally hide when anyone comes over, and only venture out when they are sure it is safe. BUT, if one of the Son in Laws (Brandon) is here they will come out way earlier and go straight to Brandon. He seems to be the cat whisperer.
@SeaGreenEyez My son in law is over 6 feet tall, well over 250 pounds (I don't ask), long hair and bearded. He makes me think of Grizzly Adams, and maybe that is why the cats like him. He was not ever a cat person until he met my daughter, and now they have two cats.
