We also see an occasional Mountain Lion within the city limits. Small critters disappear, not good but they were here first. Have another problem with Elk, they just do not read the signs and cross Highway 101 wherever they want, cars, tourists, do not know that they can just show up. Ruins a car.
We are having a preponderance of pumas here in Colorado. Sorry couldn't resist that. Lol. Saw a video taken from someone's living room looking out onto their deck. FOUR of them! They figured it was mom and teenage cubs. After they moved you could see they had been drinking out of their decorative fountain. Fires, hot and dry are making them less shy and also becoming used to humans. Never had cougar attacks until about 10 years or so ago. Now they are getting crowded out.

Please let us know what country Astoria is in. There are cities named Astoria by the hundreds in the USA and all over the world.

Sorry Astoria, Oregon USA. If you are looking at a map of Oregon we are at the top left. The Columbia River and Washington are North. The Pacific Ocean is West. Can't go further without getting wet.
