Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.When I had a farm and raised livestock guardian dogs (Maremmas), I also had five cats who walked with the dogs and played with the puppies. Peaceful coexistence was normal without any training. I don't know how it worked out so well.

@orange_girl . The farm had many different animals, some were rescued, others were adopted from families who couldn't keep them. Here is Lorenzo the Maremma watching over two little Boer kids.
My cat used to groom my golden. They got along fine.
