This one always pisses me off. He warned her over and over. Serves her right.

I think kitty wanted something he was not wanted to have. Attacking just means he wants your attention in a good way. He is probably a lap cat and not allowed attention in a good way. Cats do not attack unless they are frustrated by something. When Lilly does this she either wants to be in her chair, which I use, or she wants in my lap. Most of the time she knows I should be in bed and she is telling me it is time to move on. Lilly is a great cat, I love her and she loves me.
