My last black cat was named Lamont Cranston. He was Monty for short. Anybody know why that was his name?

@phxbillcee you win the prize! Ding, ding, ding! Monty was the most beautiful teenager kitten, all long legs and a 13" tail! We measured it. Shiny black and so sweet. He died from some unknown illness so I didn't get to keep him long. Even after a desperate trip to the university hospital. Sure miss him. I don't have a good photo on my phone but here's Monty and my Brooksie boy. Helping with a plumbing problem. They used to love to watch Animal Planet together, back when it was truly Animals. They would sit side by side on the footstool and watch.
@Booklover It was an easy one for me as my Mom's maiden name is Cranston!
