I hate the sound of the vacuum. I need to use headphones to make myself do it.

@TaraMarshall I got a robo vac, I named it Roscoe. Roscoe runs while I am at work. It is a win-win for everyone, but I think the cats may have learned how to stop him. The cats and I may have to have a discussion.

@HippieChick58 I have these discussions on a frequent basis - I don't know if I ever win the discussion.

A lot of the children I work with are toddler or preschool age. If I get them to typical language development levels, I've worked myself out of a job, and I hold a little party in the rare occasions it happens.

@FrayedBear It sits at a charging station when not in use. It is scheduled to run several times a week, or I can start it from where ever I am with my cell phone. If it runs out of battery while working it will go to the charging station to recharge, and then return to where it left off. Sometimes it will pick up a cat toy and get stopped and run out of battery if I don't get home to fix it. Then I carry it to the recharging station, and after charging will restart unless I tell it not to. It's pretty darn smart. Never falls down the stairs either.

@HippieChick58 With my clutter it would be lucky to get from front door to loungeroom door - distance of 18 inches. Mind you if the carpet is covered it can't get cat haired - they just cover the books and boxes etc.

@ailurophile I had a Neato and I think I killed it. Now I have a Robovac. The Robovac has a great cell phone app, so easy to program. The neato I had to get down on its level and it was hard to read and program. I run it 3 or 4 times a week and it seems to deal with the cat hair and people hair quite well.

@ailurophile, I've joked about that at times. I run a very feline friendly household.

@TaraMarshall Me too. I sometimes joke with people that there's no way I'm getting into heaven, but I'm guaranteed a place in the cat afterlife.

@TaraMarshall That would make a great t-shirt! Considering that cats generally don't vocalize and become "talky" after living with humans, it has many levels to it.

My first three were short haired - these shed more!

Unless your cat's hair is smelly I suggest that you, like me, are covered in their moult or shed fur.

Think of the dander or would it be dandruff?
