HI, Folks. New member here. I've had cats most of my life, and am now volunteering at Simply Cats, which is a no-kill shelter in Boise, Idaho. I have one cat, an orange male tabby cat named Gideon. Nice to meet you guys and ladies. Looking forward to chatting with you.

Thanks for the comments. What I do at Simply Cats is to work in the Cat Pawsitive Pro program designed by Jackson Galaxy of My Cat From Hell fame. We teach cats to do things like High Fives, Sit, Jump through Hoops, Weave through Cones, Sit Pretty,Spin, and a few other things that will help them get adopted. Once they're in the shelter, which has no cages, they stay there until they get adopted, no matter how long it takes. I'm posting a shot of Gideon playing "Prince and the Pea" from a few months ago.

Welcome and nice to hear from you. Gideon has beautiful pale green eyes. I have a racing cat, he runs up and down the long hallway at full speed, trying for a record run. So fast I can't video him.

I can't volunteer at those places. I already have four cats and that number could quickly swell. At my age I don't want to take anymore pets in.
