Looks more tortoiseshell to me, but definitely a beauty.
It's probably where you are from. Torties are all shades of brown and black... (no white).
Calicos are black/white/orange/brown.
We've had this comment before. It might depend on where you live.

@RavenCT, that's spots of white, not a white base coat. She's less than half white, and the white doesn't separate her spots. She's a tortoiseshell tabby.
@TampaHeathen, which isn't a white base coat, but a large splotch of white. And her dark areas have stripes, not just the orange, which makes her a torbie.
@TaraMarshall Generally speaking, a calico has large distinct patches of color and a lot of white. (Same website you referenced).
