He abandoned the left in favor of the center. That's a strategy that could work because Trump is so disliked.
Then he goes and ruins this strategy by supporting a semi-auto rifle ban. This will chase away the centrist supporters he has been courting by abandoning the left and spitting in our faces as he does it. He's managed to piss off both ends of the spectrum of people who could potentially vote for him. It is stupid. He is stupid.
