Of course they don't mention slavery or the horrors - they are promoting the good plantation owner bs. So, they show off the beauty of the buildings built by slave labor.
At least on a tour of Auschwitz, they make sure one understands the horrors suffered.

There are a lot of buildings around the world that tourist flock to not realizing that they were built by slave or exploited labor. These "plantation getaways" could be just buildings repurposed into vacation hotels/inns. Would you want to get away from it all by staying at a hotel that makes a point of reminding you of the horrors of the past? Unless you are into that kind of kink.
