Border Deployment to Insurrection Act: Trump's Illegal Military Plans

An Urgent Message to US Troops

The current deployment of soldiers and Marines to the US-Mexico border is illegal and immoral. The looming possibility of Trump invoking the Insurrection Act, in an attempt to paper it over, actually raises more danger of unconstitutional orders.

We have just spent 20 years being used as cannon fodder for hapless debacles in Iraq and Afghanistan. Today, soldiers and Marines are being used as propaganda fodder for the oldest Commander-in-Chief ever, taking office with the worst approval rating in modern history.

{His desire to use the military to push the limits of the law with the Insurrection Act, which suspends Posse Comitatus, was a defining feature of his first term.

This is why Donald Trump canned his previous Secretary of Defense Mark Esper. Esper publicly refuted Trump’s demand to use the Insurrection Act to, in Trump’s words, “crack skulls” at constitutionally-protected protest actions in 2020.

Esper did not break with Trump because the Raytheon executive and Heritage Foundation head suddenly sympathised with the protests–but because he knew such a move would implicate him in unconstitutional acts.

The Trump-appointed Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, also fought behind the scenes against Trump’s demands. As the Wall Street Journal reported, Trump called on the Pentagon to “beat the f--- out of” civil rights protesters and, more concerning, to “just shoot them.” General Milley refused him because, of course, beating, shooting and the use of federal troops for domestic law enforcement and assaults on protestors would easily be considered unconstitutional.

No coincidence that, as soon as he took office once again, Trump had General Milley’s portrait removed from the Pentagon–a standard honor for former Joint Chiefs. This has just escalated to readying an investigation against him, removing his security detail, and possibly issuing him a post-retirement demotion.

For Trump’s second term, the question became: who would be willing to bend the law in such a way? Who better than a Fox News talking head with a LOT of skeletons in his closet!

The unprecedentedly-close vote to confirm Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense demonstrates he has little sway with the high command. Top Republican Mitch McConnell surprised many with his ‘No’ vote, but McConnell is deeply informed by and connected to the Pentagon brass. He would likely not have voted No without their blessing.}

Not to mention, troops could find themselves breaking a number of international laws also. Warn your families in the service! Traveling abroad after committing such crimes that Trump is setting president for, could be highly costly and restrict their freedom. Past and current members of our representation travel abroad these days within strict consideration as to where and who with knowing that at any time they can be detained for actions they collaborated in during the past 24 year period. And they aren't part of the club to be overlooked.

Our medias deceptively suggested that Trump was betrayed by parts of his last administration. But the truth is, they didn't want to be accountable for the crimes he was setting a new president for. They've already been put in a tight vice in that regard from previous administrations. At some point, the world court can change its tune on allowing the crimes to continue to go on without retribution. See Gaza. Some of Bush' administration are pretty much left with never leaving the country again. They sure don't advertise it if they do.

I'd say enjoy the rest of the article, but it just keeps getting worse in the make America great again illusion. New boss, same as the old boss, again.

Defense forces are there to defend nation states. How is a nation state defined? By it's borders. I see zero issue with militaries being deployed to secure borders.
Trump has done 2 very good things; cutting USAID (funny how all the independent/ unbiased media in Ukraine folded straight away once funding cut) and removing retired security clearances. As a former spook, security clearances are on a need to know basis eg I was cleared to top secret but that did not mean I had access to all top secret classified documents, only what I needed to know, and as soon as I left, no more security clearance. How people now out of the game like Bolton and Pompeo kept theirs is a huge security risk so good move by Trump. Stop them all getting defense contractor/ lobbyist jobs too

To channel Trump; "Look at parts of California, totally destroyed and unlivable. So we will round them up and send them to Mexico and after cleaning the area (removing all trace they ever resided there), we can rebuild into a new Riviera." This is Trump's plan for Gaza.
How would those Californian's react to being forcibly relocated to a different country? Pretty much as Palestinians react now ie not going to happen. Genocide Joe followed by genocide Donald. lets just call it genocide USA.
If any US people start rounding up Gazans then Tel Aviv will be carpet bombed and any naval assets targeted as well as assets in the ME eg illegal bases. Trump will be breaking international law by occupying a sovereign nation. He will break US law by starting a war (with Palestine) without congressional approval. There will be a UN vote which the US will veto, putting the final nail in the coffin of that organisation.

BRICS grows so all good. Blind kowtowing to Zionism will hasten the US Empires dissolvement.

It's against our Constitution to use the military for civil purposes. We have law enforcement and border patrol to handle border issues. Trump moving the military onto the border is a violation of the Constitution. It constitutes a form of tyranny and or dictatorship.

{In the context of a new,
experimental, and democratic Republic, the Founding
Fathers believed that subordination of the military to the
authority of civil masters was critically important to prevent
the emergence of a new form of tyranny or dictatorship.}

Your, or anyone else's, "zero issues", don't matter. It's the law of the land. On top of that, our interferences in other nations using our military are also against the Constitution. Sanctions included. And right out of the gate, that particular infraction of the Constitution was broken in regards to sending our military into other nations and interfering. Nixon sending the national guard to Kent State was an infraction of the Constitution. It was a local issue that should have been handled by law enforcement. Just the same as it was all around the country in other states and cities. Sending our military abroad for purposes of overthrowing governments that oppose our governments agendas and or structured societies is an infraction of the Constitution. Forced restructuring on multiple layers of another country, almost always resorting in theft of resources, while funding and supporting a purposely built opposition within, is not only an infraction of our Constitution, it's also an international crime.

In which the USAID has been a participant of such crimes in almost every case. Known as a CIA tool front. Probably every case. Which our MSMs are purposely leaving out in their coverage. And I'm not particularly supporting Trump for eradicating this organization. It shouldn't be able to exist period. It's a deceptive evil of the world. That genuine causes within legal means can easily be built and replace it. Russia and China are perfect examples to look at. They do it without any sense of military presence, or threats of, and provide social benefits on multiple levels while doing it. Only if the government in question request military help from them which is basically in regards to Russia. I don't believe China has troops in any arena currently. And probably wish they never got involved in Iraq. As they left as fast as they went in! Probably as they witnessed the crimes being perpetrated around their troops. I'm particularly worried about what Trump will replace it with! The fact of how he eradicated it is criminal. Without having a backup plan in place as he eradicated the criminal aspects of the organization. Few understand this because the media is controlling the issue with false narratives while leaving out the criminal aspects.

@William_Mary It is also against the US Constitution to have a standing army ie the right to bear arms. The Patriot Act replaced the Constitution.
I doubt it is against US law to use the US military for civilian purposes eg disaster relief. US carriers have been brilliant in aid roles after tsunami's etc. I find it hard to believe that the military would be banned to assist with border breeches, only to be used in foreign campaigns.

I remember when sanctions were first really used. They were also all UN approved, until the Patriot Act eg Sth Africa/s apartheid..

Trump is rapidly finding the base from which he negotiates for America from is extremely weak, the weakest in my time. No-one trusts the US anymore and they stand for nothing. So he can continue to bluff and bluster as much as he wants, people like the Houthi will now just ignore and flip them the bird, confident they hold the moral high ground the US once dominated but now undermines.
another crime you may add to his list, he just declared war on Yemen minus Congressional approval. But if you think that's Trump and morally superior other US presidents / politicians would not do that, think again.

I hope you’re glad Kamala lost.

There's nothing to be glad about. The American citizenship always loses. Mike Prysner is also a veteran who has been exposing the crimes of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars he was forced to participate in, in regards to Iraq as a specialist. He's speaking from experience here and became an anti-war activist due to what he observed in Iraq. I don't support anyone within the 2 party establishment! It's a crime syndicate bought by the ruling class. As is the MSMs that work for them. Nearly 4900 men and women went into those wars to lose their lives which were built on lies and deceit. Commit crimes. And now were looking at them to be forced into committing more crimes in an arena also built in lies and deceit. Used for the benefit of a few within a delusional ideology based on a genocidal structure as all the rest. Harris has nothing to do with today. To bring up a partisan aspect of a greater problem on a whole indicates your trapped in a rabbit hole of missing the grand scheme being played out on us. Like the vast amount of our citizenship. It speaks loudly towards why they keep getting away with their crimes and unethical practices.
