"Dark Money: The Hidden History of the Billionaires Behind the Rise of the Radical Right ..................................................................................................................................
New Yorker reporter Jane Mayer explores how the Koch brothers and fellow right-wing billionaires have funded a political machine aimed at shaping elections and public policy. The book contains a number of revelations and new details. Mayer begins with revealing that the Kochs’ father, industrialist Fred Koch, helped build an oil refinery in Nazi Germany—a project approved personally by Adolf Hitler. The refinery was critical to the Nazi war effort, fueling German warplanes." ................................
How many Koch products are you currently aware you might have purchased? I only recently replaced Koch products like paper plates and TP, which I'd been buying, with products of conscience instead. *Note: @Allamanda provided a link which tells which products the Kochs produce. [dailykos.com]
This is helpful to know.. thanks for sharing
You're welcome.
I avoid Koch brothers as much as possible. David's wife has him sponsor a number of PBS nature shows, and when I see their names I usually turn it off - sadly, the shows are probably good and need to be sponsored because of govt cuts and cheap ass rich folks and cuts to charitable giving.
Koch sponsors NPR too. The corporate influence on NPR is visible
I have the book and refer to it. It’s dense, difficult for me to get through. But I get the gist. Koch is based in my state (Kansas) and has outsize influence on our elections, politicians, and legislation. I’ve battled directly with one of Koch’s non-profit, educational 501(3) organization’s, the Kansas Policy Institute over elections and policy. They banned me from their Twitter page for calling them out on their tax policies which, no surprise, call for ever lower corporate taxes and higher sales and consumption taxes. Anyway, glad others pay attention to the details of how our country has been taken over by the corporatists.
Lol it turned 501 c 3 into 501(3)
I worked for multiple corporations for about twenty years, and have experienced what corporate 'culture' does to lives. What you did to them is very conscientious. I hope more Americans learn how to fight back against corporate fascism 'culture.' Thanks for your input--you are a hero!
