I had a discussion recently via email about similarities between 1929/30 and 2019/20. The big thing - rise of right wing hate groups and nationalism; stock markets drops; unemployed peoples; cultish leaders. Came up with some countries comparisons: the US may be Germany; China would be Japan; Russia is, well, still Russia.
I know it is far from right (pun intended for thoughts), but any thoughts?

I think those are equally dangerous.
When times get really tough people get really desperate and things as rights or fairplay go out the window.
