This time of the year- with dark and gloomy skies in the northern skies; it is time to consider life. It's also the season of gluttony; compare that to the many people existing in cardboard boxes on the streets in Toronto; ya, an' and they ain't got food either. All the people around the world who could use help!
If there are any humanitarians in here, maybe it is time to get out the shiny plates and the best silverware--- and leave the bowls and plates empty. Even an old grouch like me, can figure it out; so our empty bellies may grumble for a few hours- how about months and years of that?

I've had a view of those hostels- they ain't 'purdy'! A person down on their luck could certainly expect to be beaten- or robbed of their last nickel. And the whole system is warped. I volunteered at a food bank for a few years. When one sees the village idiot drive up in the biggest, gas-guzzling Dummer- "Hey, just what is going on here?" Then there are the are the people who are neat and clean, even if their clothing is threadbare; due to pride they will not ask for help. If they had decent rooms they would not use all their energy to destroy them.
There are many kind and generous people around, I know this to be true.
