We have had this modest looking Aeonium for 17 years here in Portugal and for the first time it has decided to flower! We were quite amazed to see it was sending a couple of cone shaped shoots up as the heads are normally flat, do any of you have a flowering Aenoium and how often do they flower?

Aside from Aloe and a couple other desert plants, I’ve never seen any succulent flower. Here’s an article about succulent blooms: [crazycrittersinc.com]

Congrats! It's the clay pots and smartly timed watering. Kudos!

It's bittersweet!

" They are pollinated by insects, which like them for their long period of bloom.
So if your Aeonium plant looks like it's going to bloom, enjoy the process because it will be the end of the plant itself; with luck, you'll have others to take its place, either pups, or seeds. "

Pls. check this out:

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
