I planted five asparagus starts last year. I noticed they came up as spindly stalks that became a fern as let them grow. This year I expect them to be more meaty. My question is do asparagus starts expand and double and triple in numbers like rhubarb? I planted about 5 rhubarb starts in 2021 and this year there was around 30 stalks. Will asparagus expand like that too?

I have never planted asparagus, but hope to do so the next planting season I am in. Let us know how it goes! In the meantime, here is an informative article: [greenupside.com]

I used to have great beds in Houston, but in Dallas I just don't have enough water.

😢. It would be a challenge here, too. Now, Hawaii…I think that would be different.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
