Well, it may just be that spring is inching forward slowly at last. I made my first picking of perennial salad leaves today in the garden. With, Salad Burnet, Sorrel, Chives and Lovage. It will still need the addition of some supermarket lettuce for bulk as yet, but I still have the makings of a tasty leaf salad direct from the garden.
Lovage looks rather like cilantro. Can you describe the flavor?
Add some feta cheese & balsamic vinegar & I'll join you.
Added a little Indian spice mix, just a trace, olive oil and salt. Will eat with a small fillet of fish and some prawns, cooked in butter and a flour and spice dusting.
