I got 8 pints of tomato sauce from my first batch and one jar didn't seal because I got the ring on crooked - oh well so I put the extra in my freezer and will add it to my next batch...

I think I had about 15-20 lbs of tomatoes in my first batch of tomato sauce?
I have never gotten into canning, I moved too often. However, I almost always have had a deep freeze, so I do freeze it. I no longer eat much with tomato sauce, I do eat fresh tomatoes as long as they are producing. The sauce doesn't always agree with me... this getting older stuff... but what are you gonna do?

I have been freezing my tomato sauce but my tiny chest freezer is full so this year I have to can it.
I have a tomato sauce recipe. never found out how it tasted, but it sure cleaned up my kitchen and initiated a repaint of the kitchen ceiling.
Never been game to try making another batch.
It is now on my bucket list to master before I die. I just hope I live another 100 years, I

Easy oven roasted tomato sauce...
@FrostyJim Thanks i will bookmark and save the recipe. My tomatoes are just coming on. At present they are not much bigger than their flowers, In a few weeks I will have enough to fee half the town.
The jars look spectacular and probably taste just as good. Congratulations!

I can't reply to your message but it's pronounced sue KWAH mish. It means clear salt water and was the beach site of a long house, literally it stretched hundreds of feet and housed many families.
