It wouldnt need to be fibreglassed. Plastic sheeting can be used to equally waterproof it.
On a similar theme, old childrens beds in the shape of racing cars, trucks, spaceships can be recycled and turned into sand pits for children to make sandcastles and scultures out of the sand.

In this country, Australia, irresponsible parents wish to be excused from properly protecting their children from their negligence. Therefore the pond would have to be surrounded by a child proof fence to protect the little dears from drowning in it.
At the local shopping centre car park whenever it rains puddles of water deep enough to drown a person were frequently forming. As this resulted in my feet getting wet when I exited the car I complained to the centre management and the local council responsible for policing citizen safety. I think that it took four years before anything was done about it. In comparison I noticed that the subsequent owners of a property where I built a 4 metre by 3 metre oval pool filled it in probably at the insistance of the irresponsible parent next door.

It's an interesting look and a great way to repurpose an old canoe, I'm guessing that the canoe has been patched up and that they wouldn't use a brand new canoe for a water feature.
