I found this in my garden this past weekend. As best I can riddle it out, this is a fly that was infected with a fungus. Something like this: [en.m.wikipedia.org]
The fungus causes the fly to crawl up to the end of whatever it's on, then spread its wings and die. Creepy fungal mind-control. Cool, no?
Cool, kind of like how tripto-plasmous created crazy cat ladies.
Parasites! the best reason for denying a designer god.
That and the crazy plot lines in the books people keep attributing to him.
