MoonTiger just posted a beautiful photo of hanging succulent gardens on some balconies. This one is not as spectacular, but I thought it interesting because it is part of a garden someone was making on the old castle wall Silves Portugal. Don't know how they got the permit, but it did look good.

I wonder how their roots will effect the structure?

Yes that was my thought, but if a few generations get to enjoy, what is in some ways a natural looking decay, and then it needs some restoring, does it matter ?

How is the puppy doing?

@Zoohome Much bigger and showing great interest in cattle. I will put up some pictures in a couple of days.

The Philistine says "yeah, cover that crumbling old brick up!"

FrayedBear Level 9 Feb 20, 2019

Yes I think it looks better with some growth and life, though it is very old and red sandstone not brick.

@Fernapple grumpily having only had 4 hours sleep thanks to some twat of a neighbour waking me at 5:10 am., but aren't some of them them cut into brick shapes if they are not real fired bricks?

@FrayedBear They are brick shaped yes, it is an easy mistake to make. Have a good night.
