Do you think the dump would have the bicycle rims?

At the dump where I lived in CA they had a huge re-use area with lots of bikes. A bike repair shop might be happy to give you damaged wheels too.

Very interesting. We have a similar sculpture in front of a local coffee place in the village. I can't find a picture of the front of the shop but I do have a link for the place. [facebook.com]

They didn't have a picture either! Tell them to get on it!

@Hathacat If I remember I'll get a picture. Remind me.

As someone who just paid to have a wheel put back in to true-straightness....I can tell you that every one of those rims are no doubt beyond repair....

It would bother me if they weren't!

Really original idea, and bike wheels are often zinc coated so they will last a long time.

Hadn’t thought of that. I did think maybe taking off the reflectors would be nicer looking.

@Hathacat Yeah the reflector looks trashy.

Makes a great gardening trellis . Does it have an opening , for access ?

Looks like there is one in the front there. Look at the picture with the plants.

I have no idea, but what a cool idea!

Don't have little kids around to bother with a fort, but thought a statue maybe.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
