Hello members, I was given a cutting of this cactus some years ago and It has flowered with this remarkable leathery chap! Has anyone seen anything like it before?

Orbea/Stapelia variegata, a.k.a. starfish plant or carrion plant. Very nice. A succulent--not a cactus. I want one. Photo is of a different species of carrion plant that I have in my collection.

Might be smelly but it sure is worthy of showing off!

Mmmm. Perfect for a tea-time sitting room! 😉

I was tempted to ask if it can be grown indoors but I don't think it would work especially when it is blooming.
