This is what I'm talkin' about! Mid February, and the plants were all budding out like April, yet now we have a couple weeks of morning frost. Loving the gorgeous sunshine that will let me mow the lawn before the next rain storm!

Typical NW climate. We always get a spring of deception with warm, sunny weather and everyone thinks summer has arrived. It's Nature's April Fool joke on humans.
Right now many Rhoddy's are in bloom.

My daffodils all have flower buds - ready to "pop" any day now. Woke up to sleet this morning and will probably see actual snow later today. Bah, humbug!! 😟 Early springs are definitely a mixed blessing.....

Sounds like you're going to loose a bit of your crop due to buds freeaing .

My sympathies. My grass hasn't been dry enough to mow.

Fingers crossed for this evening that I won't just be making a grass smoothie, since we've had some strong wind for a couple days now.

So, this morning I checked the weather site on my phone - it just said "Tornado". I guess our gusty winds can fool a sensor or two!

@tinkercreek ...TORNADO??????...RUN AWAY............-3 here this morning. No gardening for me

@tinkercreek Just be glad it's not Columbus day

@glennlab Oh, I remember that well! Trees blocked the road to our farm for many days and my sisters, mom and I stayed with Granny. The uprooted firs did make great dirt caverns to play in!

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
