Having been encouraged by @Heidi68 who posted about her success with orchids, I had purchased one for myself as a treat, a month ago. It's a Phalaenopsis and oh my she is a beauty! I picked a plant with two flowering stems, full of buds each, and one open flower ... then had the joy of watching them open one after the other, until now it is in full bloom and apparently very happy with the spot it's in ... here she is!

@dede18 The contrasting colors really do make it pop. I think 20 minutes is pretty good (there's so many possibilities out there!). When my daughter was a toddler, she could spot a Calloway's sign a mile away and would start exclaiming, "No, no, not the plant store!" I liked to browse. 🙂

@dede18 - I agree with Lauren, 20 minutes is good. Sometimes when I'm sent to the store to pick something up, it's done with specific instruction to stay out of the floral/garden department.

Posted by KateOahuI saw some pretty flowers on a walk today. I’d never seen a white Hibiscus before. And I do not know what the pink flowers are.
