Analogies should always be suspect.... This is one of those times. Bitcoin is just an imaginary fiat currency backed by nothing which is undergoing forced "inflation" because the supply is strictly limited and people think it is a good investment. Remember the penny stock craze when it drove Snapple stock to outrageously over valued levels? It boomed overnight to more than 1,200.00 a share then after a few months dropped to less than 3.00 a share. Bitcoin is long overdue for a collapse most of the people using it are using it to facilitate illegal activities.
