We used to have a purpose to our fitness...now it's a goal in itself.
We don't strive to be fit because we need it to thrive...(we're no longer hunter-gatherers).
But a few of us strive for fitness because that in itself is a survival measure.
I'm beginning to get the impression that those who strive to be fit through daily exercise is diminishing.
But exercise has been diminished as a factor of importance in society. Sad.

@phxbillcee Persistence hunting. Practically unheard of these days.
That reminds me of a wonderful bushman who was a persistence hunter....until a coke bottle fell near him.
