This is another reason I"m glad self-checkout has finally come to the local stores. I recall waiting for all sorts of fumbling....from writing checks to waiting until the entire transaction is done by the cashier to open his/her wallet/pocketbook and get the card/cash out. WTF?
What drives me nuts is when (usually a lonely old person) tries to strike up a lengthy conversation with the check-out cashier.
More than ever, from everyone being so isolated.
I have patience for that as it is quite understandable particularly nowadays BUT for the younger demographic not so much
