What amazes me is the number of women who leave the damn lid up! I make sure to put the seat & lid back down, why doesn't the damn lid count???

Yes! Both seat and lid go down. I don't want to look into the toilet. And honestly, with the medicine cabinet above the toilet, I'm likely to have something drop in!
@Sara72712 Thank you! My sentiments exactly! I've mentioned that to some of my female friends & tend to get blank looks. But, if I ever did leave the seat up I'd never hear the end of it!
I always put the whole apparatus down. It has a lid because you're supposed to put it the fuck down!
@MissKathleen I posted the same video about a week ago during a similar debate. They have lids because you're supposed to put them down.
@KKGator, @MissKathleen Yep, close it, then flush. Safer all the way around!
@phxbillcee That's what I'm trying to teach the little ones.
@MissKathleen, @KKGator I don't have an "automatic" closer, but I do have one of those that close once you start them, & do so quietly. No "slams" in the middle of the night!
It's polite to leave it up, that way the next person can see what you left for them in the bowl. Also, my momma always taught me just to assume everyone has a penis.

Is sarcasm really necessary??? (Just kidding, of course, it is!!!)
Fall in the bowl - just once - at 2 am... and you'll become a seat down convert.
Especially as you wonder if you have the core strength to get yourself back out.

Even guys can be caught that way. In the middle of the night, & not wanting to turn lights on, I do a sit-down to pee. So much safer (& more sanitary!!!) Otherwise a guy would have to find the bowl by sound, not the neatest way to accomplish that!
