That happens even in 2 feet of water in lake.. Had minnows nibble on my toes one time.. omg.. I thought it was jaws attacking me.

LOL, when the water is murky and you can't even see the bottom....that's the worst! LOL
@BeeHappy oh ya.. and it gets progressively worse as the summer goes on too. Being in a state with over 10,000 lakes.. well some are just ponds and swamps but ya.. its spooky.. and those dam ass leeches are nasty too. Pull you foot up and you got those things dangling off your hoves.
