Good luck! I don’t trust therapists who throw drugs at you.
I hung out with a woman in my apartment building when I first got divorced who was on virtually every antidepressant drug. She had been divorced for two years from her third husband. I met her on the walking path and she invited me over for a drink. Long story short, every time I went over she ended up drunk and crying to me about all her problems of which she had many.
I was going to a therapist who had me reading books about my issues, journaling and changing my behaviors so I shared my experience. I researched her symptoms on line, discovered that she may have MTHFR genetic syndrome, she got tested, got off drugs and booze and is no longer depressed. Moral of the story, make sure you don’t have underlying causes before taking the drugs.
