Possums. That's cool.

Same one, two views. It's in a tree near my blacklight set up. I went out to look at bugs and was pleasantly surprised.

Too soon for that 2nd one?

Awwww. smile003.gif
I had to shut my two murderous cattle doggies in the house (they have a dog-door and usually come and go as they please) so they wouldn't harass the poor thing.

Dude!

Big ol' meanie

@RavenCTI have made a vow! I stand by it!

@Insectra You do realize that I just love teasing you, don't you?

@phxbillcee absolutely! But I still have to pretend to be "upset", right? smile009.gif

Very misunderstood animal. America's only marsupial. Usually harmless, but don't fuck with them. Even if and especially if playing dead.

That is awesome! Not even playing possum. Great shots.

It was only like 18" over my head. I could have grabbed it, if I wanted to be a jerk. I felt bad for it, though, so I left it 3 eggs.

@Insectra Aww! You're a good person!

Good on you @insectra. You're awesome.

A young possum found it's way into my house last week. He was so cute but was a pain because it took forever to shoo it back outside without causing it to panic and get violent. I guess that I succeeded in not panicking him cause I saw him again in my backyard a couple of days later. I was certainly glad it was a possum rather than a raccoon though.

Live only 2 years. Highly prolific & eat ground nesting birds & eggs. So cleaning up under the feeder is good. Eating the killdeer not so much.
