"Good for home defense." Ha! The bullets would go through the home invader, through the wall behind him, through the back yard fence, through your neighbor's house wall and through your neighbor. Not good. Besides a long barrel is not good indoors. A pistol is better wielding around inside.

@dare2dream I already mentioned that there are far better options. Your statement is a bit of an exaggeration tho about how far it will go. Yeah it will go through the person, and probably a wall. I've done ballistics tests, and from 50' your off-the-shelf non-specialty rounds will go through a 2 1/2" schedule 40 pipe! Your standard .223 is quite a bit different than the NATO 5.56X45. .223 is usually 55 grain projectile. 5.56X45 is 62. They are designed to cause more damage to the human body. They travel at slower FPS. With that being said, you can do a lot of things to prevent home invasion in the first place. One easy and cheap thing you can do is replace the screws on your door for the striker plate. The ones that come with it are small, and can be easily broken. Go to a hardware store, and replace them with 2 1/2" screws! Costs literally pennies. Also get a dead bolt. A lot of people don't realize that lots of home invasions are done by someone you know, and probably someone that was in your house. They know when you go to work, when you go to sleep. Maybe even know when you sit on the toilet! You need to know your entrance and exit points. If I was invaded, they would have to break through a minim of two doors. It would take a SWAT team and a battering ram to get into mine. The thing about home invasion is you need to know how to prevent it.

Yeah I think so too. We could thing how great we are human beings but the fact of the matter is I think we're on the downside of the slippery slope. No doubt the human animal is headed for extinction

@Kojaksmom Why not. lol Muzzle breaks/flash hiders (witch ever you prefer) are VERY loud! Two at one time? I have seen firearms go off in houses. a .22 LR going of in a house is loud! You were probably joking about defending an infant. If it's a home defense situation, you use that thing, and your infant is constipaded, you won't have to worry about the constipation!

It's not exactlly something you can find at a gun show or gun store. They aren't the weapon of choice for mass shootings. Very hard to get, and very expensive. Plus if it is select, you need a tax stamp. I really don't see someone going on a killing spree walking around with something that has a 30" barrel. Plus they are heavy, and reload ammo (if you buy in bulk) is about $6 a round.

We all know why, profits for the industry. To them it's a win-win situation, more jobs and fewer people needing jobs. This industry is the same as the drug industry except it is legal.
