License maybe, no way pro-gun people are going along with registering their guns, they don't want anybody to know what kind or how many guns they have. They tried to insure against the damage a gun can do to people, didn't go over well and they had to stop.

Legally you don't have to register. BTW how are you going to register an old firearm with no SN? They weren't required until 1968.

@dare2dream how? Unless you have a link from the ATF, ffl dealers are left in the dark.
@TheGreatShadow : We can stamp a new serial number on the gun and get the owner's info.
