It makes them more defensive and willing to believe more hyperbole. The NRA and gun industry are in it to make money and they don't care or are restrained with what they say. It is a huge conflict-of interest issue.
I go to our library and every once in a while I find some gun magazine (I just found 2). Going through these magazines is unbelievable. The total crap that is spouted is unbelievable. Yet, people subscribe to this stuff and once they pay for it they are hooked.

I think Obama handled that very professionally but even today gun advocates thing it's about taking your guns away. Some people are very ignorant. In the video both the men talking presented themselves very well.
