I host the Gun Control Now group. With a few exceptions(assault weapons) I don't have a problem with guns. Guns are very dangerous if they aren't respected. As long as you shoot and store your guns responsibly, have at it. I just have one thing to say, just say it! You like guns, you like owning guns and you like shooting guns. I don't have a problem with that. Stop with all the bullshit excuses and be honest about it. You like guns.

Although I recognize that many gun owners are responsible, it's also important that gun owners acknowledge a basic fact: Guns are designed for one purpose, and one purpose only. To hurt or kill living creatures.

Yes, I believe that is the definition of "weapon". Now, a knife can be a weapon, but it is also used as a tool for many uses. A baseball bat may be a weapon, but it has another primary use. A gun is at its base a weapon, target shooting is but an outgrowth of that.

I don't like guns. I'm vs hunting for wildlife and assault weapons anywhere but military.

You know I am with you!

Trophy hunting no, food hunting yes

@Michael64 Bull! I, myself don't hunt & have no wish to, but I have known many families in rural areas who, especially in lean times, supplemented their food with venison or duck, & have done so for generations. For centuries & more that was the primary means of obtaining meat, or aren't you familiar with the term "hunter/gatherer"? We need to be determined, but unreasonable will get us nowhere!

@Michael64 You want to eat grass and sticks you go right ahead. I'll have something with a little better taste and a little better nutrition.

As host of this group you need to show a little more respect for people if you want to continue to post in this group.

There is a company that has a device that it can detect DNA sequence the objective of this was to put a device on a gun that can only read the owners DNA and the trigger could be pulled if your DNA was not a match the weapon was useless. So best question is what happened to this idea?
