Hi all im new to this, just left my church to become an unbeliever not a nice experience but hey ho i feel lighter now that common sense has prevailed.
A belated hello and welcome from the bottom of the country (iase of Wight) I am glad you have found freedom.
Hello and welcome to Agnostics…from one Celtic region to another. I’m a Scot from Edinburgh who now lives in Northern Ireland, and unlike you was not raised in a believing household, but into a family self identifying as freethinkers.
I’m pleased you’ve used reason and logic and have arrived at your present position, and I can understand that must be quite an isolating experience for you, as well as bringing a feeling of enlightenment and freedom. It must have been quite a dichotomy for you in fact arriving at your decision, feeling that freedom of mind but knowing the price to pay is leaving the comfort of church and common fellowship. True friends though, will understand your need to follow your instincts and reason, and any who now turn their backs on you are neither true friends nor are they real Christians.
Hope you find the site friendly and welcoming, I love it and have made many online friends here in the 4 years since I joined. Join a few groups…there’s a wide range catering for many interests, my music groups for instance (self promotion never did any harm!).
Welcome.I think you got your user name from Boris. It describes what he did to the Bullington club when at college.
Welcome to the delights of freedom from ignorance and the joys of thinking for yourself.
Welcome to a life of not being fearful of any imaginary beings that are used to scare you continuously and those who want your money holding you hostage informing you, that you are not a moral or ethical individual without paying them!!!
Welcome and congratulations! I hope the truth gives you the same peace of mind it does me. Best of luck to you!
