I know this is a hymn, Abide With Me...one I have sung often at the Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday, and at funerals, but it just sounds so much better when sung in Norwegian! Of course when my favourite Norwegian sings it, that is even better. This almost unaccompanied rendition demonstrates why he is considered one of the most talented singers of the past 35 years....pitch perfect as usual. Morten Harket - O bli hos meg.

I sing them all the time.... some of them are most beautiful, musically. The words only have significance if you believe them.
One of the most stirring versions of this I have heard is towards the end of the film 'A Bridge Too Far' when the injured allies sing it as they are left behind. A lump to the throat and a tear to the eye if ever there was.
