Once upon a time there was a monastery in the Himalayas where the friars decided that to raise money for expenses they would run a flower shop. And they gathered unusual species from all over to grow in a greenhouse and sell in the shop.
One day they got a Venus flytrap. At first it was fine happily eating flies, but it started growing to the point that flies wouldn’t satisfy it, and the friars had to feed it larger things like spiders, roaches and caterpillars. It kept growing and soon was eating mice and frogs. It proceeded to cats soon after, then dogs and small farm animals like chickens. Eventually it got so big it could only be satisfied by eating people, so the friars would go out into the village at night, kidnap someone and feed him to the Venus flytrap.
Well, the villagers got wind of this and weren’t happy. They gathered together with pitchforks and torches and went to the monastery, arrested the friars, cut down the Venus flytrap and burned the flower shop for good measure.
Moral of the story: Only you can prevent florist friars.
