Yea, that really explains it all!?!
It's just another way to shift wealth to private corporations like UPS, FedEx, and DHL. They charge more for their services. They will probably lower their prices somewhat if the USPS is eradicated, but I bet it will still be more expensive than the USPS. People will ship less. Will Amazon still have free shipping if they don't have the lower prices of the USPS? Will people buy less products online because of higher shipping prices? Or will shipping services reduce their shipping prices just enough to be tolerated by customers, but still be more expensive than USPS? It's like the boiling frog. Incrementalize prices so it seems like it's reasonable and doesn't completely hurt the customer's pockets on a larger scale, but it's still taking advantage of them and reducing their already dwindling wealth.
