A true opinion on 2020 society's degeneration?

I can remember 4 years ago and even before that where both sides were calling people who didn't go along with their biased partisan narratives all kinds of names and dismissed evidence to the contrary. It's probably been ramping up since neo-conservatism and neo-liberalism came on to the scene. It got a dose of steroids after Russiagate. If you point out a fact or even just give an opinion that doesn't fit with a certain narrative then people will smear you and mislabel you. If I say 99% bad things about Trump then Dems will agree with me and welcome me with open arms. If I speak my mind about that 1% that I disagree with them on then I'm a Russian paid shill or I'm a Trump supporter or a far right winger. Same thing with a lot of Reps if I say anything that is in line with socialism or even just social programs that are "socialism" and they will call me an evil communist. Add to all of that people's ignorance on what the political spectrum actually is and it's a minefield trying to have a discussion about politics. I think it was always like this to an extent, but it just seems so much worse now. That means the propaganda is probably working better than it used to.

Yeah I got thrown out of the Trump Pinata for the same reason.
I can clearly see that one side could be right while the other is wrong. Sometimes you can't keep your mouth shut when you know that there are group of people doing definite harm. Whether it's a gang beating somebody up or a political group destroying out planet only for their own profit. If you see somebody kicking a cat, do you speak up about it?
