Biden Denounced for Seizing Afghan Assets

“I can’t think of a worse betrayal of the people of Afghanistan than to freeze their assets and give it to 9/11 families,” said one person whose brother was killed on Sept. 11.

Humanitarians — including those who lost loved ones in the 9/11 attacks of 2001 — responded with condemnation Friday after it was reported that President Joe Biden has decided to permanently seize $7 billion of currently frozen Afghan assets even as the people of the war-torn and poverty-stricken nation suffer a broken economy, a collapsed healthcare system and widespread starvation.

According to The New York Times, the Biden administration will soon formally announce a plan to make half of the $7 billion available to pay off legal claims by those who lost families members on 9/11 while the other half would be set aside for humanitarian assistance for the Afghan people.

To fully understand the travesty of this injustice you must first forget 20 years of history and some discovery in between since. Which is exactly what they expect of you, if not hopes you'll just turn a blind eye to it, within fake sympathy for 9/11 victims.

Lets take a step back. First and foremost, the reasoning for going into Afghanistan wasn't about widespread warring within that country. It was falsely narrated as a seek and kill of a potential target of a terrorist leader and his group. I'll remind you that this group was a creation of our own government in the late 70's beginning with the Carter administration. Which was highly contained in a region mostly away from the civilian population on the Pakistan border in 2001. At no point should this have had the horrendous effects on the civilian population that it did, or last anywhere near the length of time it did. With or without the help of the Taliban, which they did offer on multiple occasions. 3 if I remember correctly. Ultimately ending with Bush pulling out once that subject was trapped allowing him to escape into Pakistan.

After a period of time it was discovered that various fractions of Saudi Arabian people supported and funded the 9/11 attacks. Who our government to this day is collaborate in shielding from responsibilities within the same nature they are now willing to steal from the Afghan people. Further more, and yet in my mind another travesty, will be the humanitarian assistance. Which will be just another handout to corporations and crony NGO's who will suck profits out of this funding drastically diminishing the effects. I'm curious to how Biden thinks he's going to manipulate the Taliban to achieve this.
