You're already self isolated according to past post. Stay that way for a month!
@William_Mary Last winter I was truly isolated. This one I am on the edge of town and shop in it. I got flu in January this year.
@rogerbenham I got the flu 2 years ago and went to the emergency room over the weekend. $2000 later my insurance wouldn't cover.
@William_Mary Ouch. Thank goodness we have really cold winters otherwise you'd all be pouring up here to get free medical. I had a cardiac arrest 2 or 3 years ago and my wife and I were flown medivac both ways 800 miles to a fancy heart hospital. Ten days there. Only bill was $80.00 for the ambulance which came 20 miles each way. 3 people on board. The medivacs would have cost $30,000 each person each way. I had a second emergency operation 5 days after they had installed stents due to a blood clot freeing from my heart and closing off the lower part of my right leg. Yup, $80.00 was my total cost. Oh and an evening before and a night after in my local hospital.
I used to be on Warfarin and had fortnightly INR tests. They were free.
@rogerbenham Over in the New England area they have bus loads of people on a certain day that go to Canada for healthcare visits. And they're not coming for boob jobs.
@William_Mary A bit naughty as we taxpayers do pay for our medical but then without medicare cards they'd be charged. I once had a voluntary operation in 1994 and the hospital in a 40,000 city and faced $700 .00 ($500.00 your money) a night. Presumably far more today.
@rogerbenham yes it's due to lower prices especially towards medications.
