So I’m hiking in Big Bend Nat. Park and I pass by a church youth group carrying a watermelon. Ok, whatever. Later, after looping around the trail, I see the same group with the watermelon. But now they are scooping out bits of watermelon and rubbing it on each others faces while reciting verses or blessings. What the hell did I witness?

Maybe if they weren't close to a creek to baptize each other they figured water melon would work just as good. Could have been a survival test on how to baptize if you have no water.

Firs time I’ve seen this in Texas. Thought cowboy church was strange enough.
Hope you waited around for the finale... or maybe their eye site was poor and they had an awkward way of sharing.
