In addition to all those negative things about men, please consider all the great advances in human society that were brought about through male energy, ingenuity, and sacrifice. I realize that women have been instrumental also in those advances, but IMO the greatest good comes when men and women work together as teams. @Keith_J self defense classes. Size is not that big of a factor when they are hit in certain spots they fold and drop like a wet rag. What I have against carrying guns is if in the open that is the first thing an attacker goes for. If they have a gun or knife they shoot or stab you right away to take that gun now they have yours. If conceled how fast can you get it out and aim and shoot? Just start shooting you can hit someone just near buy not the attacker.

I must be one of the 'worst sort' then. I am a state certified hunter safety instructor and have taught courses to women on handling handguns. I had a concealed carry permit for while but have let it lapse. My experience with the women who are interested in handguns is that they're no different than most women. I would also mention that to acquire a firearm legally one must undergo a background check. So on paper at least, the 'worst sort' cannot acquire them.

There is reason for that. Their lives are much harder. There demands of physical labor made on them are much greater than women. ( I am of course referring to western culture in this situation where I assume you live?)
