I've read some bad things about him. He seemed to deride chefs and the service industry. He ate foie gras, which is an incredibly cruel practice which needs to be banned.

Not everyone is a fan. Still - condolences for his suffering.

He was not a fan of vegetarians at all. His philosophy it would be rude to turn down anything that was offered him.

What if I eat their shoes?

In some countries that would probably be the tastier choice.

A great quote from a good man.

I'm not in his shoes so I can't understand why he ended his life so young.

I'm in my 70s One thing I have discovered...every few years the situation changes. Problems disappear new ones arise. @McVinegar

I lived in an apartment house in the Bronx. A neighbor took a dive out of a third floor window. She sat on the window ledge with her feet dangling out the window until the cops drove up. Then she rolled forward and out the window. I watched from the roof just above her. This was one of those sights I could never forget. @McVinegar
