How do you determine maturity? The state of mind to which you act to adhere to a commitment or promise. To do what must be done to achieve from the tedious to the extremely complex task.
Sounds right to me... my insurance says you have to be over 25 to be mature. That's when the rates go down. The military says your nature as soon as you sign that paper work. Some stupid people say children are developing so quickly..... look how that 14 is maturing....geeze. I say maturity is reaction to knowledge and experience.
I have to think about with some more detail. Old enough to drive a car, old enough to run for the presidency, can buy alcohol, can vote. Does this mean because you reach a certain age you automatical understand the responsibility that comes with choice? Just using those previous verbiages as hypotheticals. To be mature requires more thought than the normal persons take on any given situation. To make choices that have a profound amount of common sense applied to the decisions.
@azzow2. Sounds right...
Do you laugh at farts ?
If I want to make my kids laugh. Not in a serious setting.
Hey! I sure do.... but my wife..... she can't take a joke!
@BucketlistBob apparently it means we are immature if we think farts are funny in any setting
Farts are always funny. That is totally human nature.
Perhaps maturity is having shit happen to you, getting up, brushing yourself off and learning a valuable lesson along the way.
I would add that it is also passing along to others that learned experience in such a way it helps others not to make the same mistakes or at least not a severe as experienced first go around. .
@azzow2 yep, but would anyone really listen?
