Fear is the foundation on which Christianity was built. Hate is one of its byproducts.

Phobia of phobia. To misunderstand the intended meaning and interpret a totally different rationality for the intended meaning of a subject or idea.

True. Hate and fear are potent tools for controlling people, hence, religion.

Fear worked very successfully for all the Abrahamic religions, national and international politics and even in the family home - fear of violence, fear of being left alone or withdrawal of financial support.

Are you referring to an individuals reaction to something terrifying or the great Lee Ving fronted New York Hard Core Punk Rock band from the 80's?

I tend to find fear most often leads to hate

Yeah, probably. Especially when tribalism is involved. When humans understand that all of culture; religion, government, even money is intersubjective belief we could get along better.

I'm going to go all Yoda here - hate can often lead to fear, young Jedi.
