Yes. I also collect catholic items. Statues, holy water bottles, rosaries, communion books. It’s the ritual that intrigued me. That’s where my collection obsession ends. As an artist I love the architecture. Bascillicas especially. I believe you can admire the artistic aesthetic aspects, without worshipping.

Nothing like medieval catholics. Europe!!! Found this charming church in Tubingen, Germany with a room full of caskets and not a single cross in the room. I was able to enter by a certain entrance of the church and walk without finding me in the shadow of any cross. No Vlad Tepes named in the caskets but don't read latin either. You make your own conclussions.

I find ritualistic behavior bizarre.....praising their architectural skill seems bizarre......just because you can build a nice house doesn't make me want to sit at your table or pretend you aren't delusional because you can build something

Architecture, Art, Music. Never forget the church had a financial cockhold on creativity for a very long time. The arts were not what they are today. Unless the church was your patron you had a very high probability of your creation being called blasphemy, witchcraft, work of the devil, and you'd be imprisoned or burned. That said some of the most beautiful creations in the world are religion based. Buildings, music, paintings, sculpture.

Absolutely, one of my favorite things to do in Europe is explore the old churches and cathedrals....

I really enjoy architecture. As for churches.... They are my favorites. The stained glass, marble motifs, details in outer trim and on statues, the large organ pipes....I could go on. I'm also partial to mausoleums, headstones, obelisks and cemetery statues.
