My what??

Oh no. I live in denial and wait until I have no choice but to face my issue and then act on it. I never used to be like that but the older I get the less I want to have to do anything I don't want to. I think I am reliving my teenage years.

I try to be head on, but with Anxiety disorder, and other problems, I sometimes run

I try to, but don't always succeed. I don't believe that anyone fully succeeds at this task.

No, I moon my issues. ?

Awareness is the first step. This week I realized:

Since age 21, I have been having panic attacks while hiking. This only occurs when crossing a slippery log high over a raging creek or river. Below me are rushing rapids, sharp rocks and waterfalls.

In the the middle of the log, I start shaking, lose my balance and freeze, afraid to step forward. Glittering, noisy rapids below mesmerize me. Usually I crouch and crawl across slippery logs like a baby bear, with a heavy pack on my back. Humiliating, but safe. Have never fallen.

"You've done this a thousand times!" I scold myself. "Get over it."

"Don't look at the water," people advise. "Focus on the log in front of you." YES, I do that. It doesn't help. A few bad minutes, and off I go up the trail. To my relief, we sometimes turn around when a creek crossing is impossible.

This doesn't stop me from hiking. Creek crossing are easier on the return trip. I have mentally rehearsed and know I can do it. As a small woman, it's easier to sit down and slide off a boulder, landing on my feet.

Step 2: This week, I learned a breathing exercise to stop panic attacks. Hope it works.

Depends on the issue.   If there is a time limit yes I get it done and out of the way. Otherwise it goes on a back burner .

4

It's a process and varies slightly depending on the issue

4

Avoid
Avoid
Avoid

4

98.9% of the time...

4

Depends what the issue is.

4

Only when I'm driving.

Is there another way to face them?

I try to, sometimes its more than I want it to be. Depending on the importance, I try to handle it post haste. Having a small child and two full work loads makes it , but increases the necessity to take care of everything before it piles up.

I hide under the covers until they go away.

Try to...depends on energy levels and mood at the time. Usually take time to contemplate, and see things from an outside perspective as well. Usually involves discussion or meditation.

Depends on how urgent they are, but usually I take care of things as soon as I think of them.

Hmmm.... issues? NO....LOL! I don't face all my issues up front. I sometimes i want to slap the idiot that says they're not getting enough respect. I got me an issue ... hmm? Hell .... im an issue... lol. I can't slap that idiot either ??. Its a good thing too. Most people do the right thing, finish school, get a job, support their spouse.... and so on. Then theres those others that quit school because selling dope is easier. Run from the law and get shot. Want sit down and get their ass whipped. Scream to the public about their rights like they've been miss treated. I got issues with these people... i guess im a racist in their book? I got more respect for the military rank process. That system doesn't discriminate. You study, keep your nose clean, do what your told, make a difference, and you make rank and now your in charge and i work for you. Well its the same system outside the military too.... Another thing.... I don't like fucker's that kneel during the anthem, spit a cop, burn my flag in protest and i still don't like Jane Fonda or forgiven her. I got me some issues. I want them thrown in another country for a year. They'll have a whole new attitude. They can protest my country and i got a right to protest them doing it. Anybody living here is damn lucky about being here. I don't care how you got here. Try being somewhere else and trying to legally live here.

Hell.... i was slapped around as a kid. Abused. Bullied. I did what i could to get out and take care of me. I didnt sit on my ass and cry about it. Thats right.... nobody loves me....bullshit. everyone loves a winner so be a winner. Not a looser.

Damn bob tell us how ya really feel lol. I thought you were a little more open minded than that. Don’t you see? The fact that we can burn a flag in protest is what makes us freer than the countries who can’t. We invalidate them burning our flag by the fact that we have a right to burn it ourselves and they don’t have a right to burn their own. Not to mention that’s the official way to retire a flag and the real way to disrespect it is to fly a tattered one, fly it on your truck next to your confederate flag, wear it as clothes or make and sell tacky decals of it from China but no one says anything to the yahoos doing that. An American protester burning their flag completely takes the power out of anyone else wanting to do it.

You might not have a reason to use your first amendment right so provocatively but how can you tell others that they can’t when that very right was literally our founders’ first priority to secure? Freedom of speech and protest is a beautiful freedom this country offers us. Kneeling during the anthem is not them disrespecting the flag or military. I’m tired of that intellectually lazy horse shit. Our president does plenty of that without any help. They have a public platform and are allowed to call attention to an issue. It’s a plea of desperation that we should be empathetic toward. I’ve never been scared for my life in a routine traffic stop have you bob? Yet black Americans have to be. Doesn’t matter if they run or are armed or not, the ones that tried to comply still get killed with no justice too often. Of all the disgusting violent things the NFL is responsible for, this is literally the most harmless pansy thing to get upset over. Please find your step ladder and get over it bob. You’re better than that.

@Wurlitzer alrighty.... an opinion. You now have to pay at the end of the year on your taxes if you don't have insurance. I love it. Im not paying for the people sitting on there ass getting something for nothing. They are now being better evaluated for food stamps. i love it. Don't tell me whose life matters when i fought for everybodies life when i went to nam. Theres no free rides in this country even though its the land if the free and the brave. My friends buy up properties that don't pay their taxes. They sell those properties and make a profit.
It cost me $165.00 a month to live in my house if i had no electricity and gas. I still have to pay taxes and utilities. Its a land of opportunity as long as you play by the rules. That second amendment of free speech is a right and so are my feelings about the statue of liberty. I feel that anybody thats willing to pay taxes and abide by the laws have a right to live here. Theres a lot of things i don't like that our country is doing. Did you know that the Mexicans that fought in Vietnam can't get VA benefits because they are not American citizens. That totally sucks. I stand for our flag and anthem because of my respect of my forefathers and brothers that fought for me having an opportunity to live my life. Not for me to whine the stupids that got roughed up or shot for running. Lets talk about that female police officer those 3 black thugs killed. You forgot about that. Thats because we didnt throw a fit about the culture that killed her. Your turn.

@Wurlitzer. Check this out before you judge me...

@Ciravolostone its ok brother. I would rather you block me then have to explain to you that i understand your right. But you know what. If i pointed you out in a VFW in front of some of my buddies....you would really feel alone. If you think im racist then look in the mirror because i got the 2sc amendment protecting my opinion too. You felt you had to speak up.... im speaking back.

No ! I get @BigBoMclean to face them for me !
